Decoding Details Period: This serial number dates from the CBS era (after the Fender acquisition in 1965). During this period, the serial numbers engraved on the neck plate changed from the "L Series" to a purely numerical sequence starting around 100,000.
A tuner mechanism was changed because it had become difficult to operate.
According to the seller, the guitar is completely original except for the tuner; it's a magnificent collector's Fender Mustang. It has the typical sound of 1960s Fenders and a super easy-to-play neck. A rare piece of history.
Vintage guitars can be opened in front of the customer.
The buyer receives what they have played and seen visually; the customer may be accompanied by a luthier or other professional.
No certificate is issued for the instrument.
