The "Willcutt 'The 63'" is not just a standard Custom Shop Stratocaster.
It is a special edition commissioned by Willcutt Guitars from the Fender Custom Shop, inspired by an authentic 1963 Stratocaster owned by Bob Willcutt.
🎸 What does "The 63" signify? Willcutt Guitars owned an authentic 1963 Strat that served as a reference point. They worked with Mike Lewis from the Fender Custom Shop to produce a run of 63 guitars replicating that specific Strat.
Each instrument was designed to capture the spirit, specifications, and aging of the original. It is therefore a Willcutt limited edition/special run, rather than a standard "Custom Shop '63 Reissue." Key features of this series include:
